There is now one more housing option for senior citizens in the capitol city.
Huntington Homes is putting up 26 one-level homes in North Bismarck. The houses will be available for seniors aged 55 and over.
The project includes patio-style twin homes, with no steps to make them most accommodating for older residents. They’re also all wheel chair accessible, with wider doorways.
Hunt Boustead; Huntington Cottages Plan: “It seems as though the community is filled with people that are 55 and over and have a need for independent living. Association based living for snow removal and lawn care are the requests we’re getting from the community.”
The project has just begun, and 7 homes have already been sold. Construction is expected to be completed by this time next year. For more information on the development, click here.
